TokiTail is operated by Lumo Technologies Pte. Ltd., a company incorporated in Singapore. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, store, and protect information when you use our Services.
02Information we collect
You provide: name, email, phone number, account credentials, shipping address; pet profile information such as breed, age, weight and medical history; and content you choose to provide such as messages, symptom descriptions, photos, and videos.
We collect automatically: device information such as IP address, device model, operating system and crash logs. If you use a TokiTail Smart Tag, we also collect its data such as activity, sleep, scratching / licking patterns, ambient temperature, and estimated respiratory-rate trends.
Location: when you ask Toki to find an emergency vet, the app reads your approximate location (to roughly 100 metres) and sends that coordinate to Google Places to search for nearby clinics. Location is used for that search only. It is not collected at any other time, and it is never used to track you or sold to anyone.
Payments: iOS digital subscriptions are processed by Apple. Hardware purchases may be processed by Stripe, Apple Pay, or other supported payment providers. TokiTail does not store full payment-card numbers.
03How we use your information
We use your information to provide AI-assisted pet-health triage and guidance; generate pet-health timelines, summaries, and reports; provide Smart Tag monitoring and related features; personalise TokiTail based on your pet's profile and history; manage accounts, subscriptions, and hardware orders; provide customer support; maintain security and prevent abuse; and comply with applicable legal obligations. Certain conversation text, images, pet-profile information, and relevant conversation context may be processed by third-party AI service providers to provide TokiTail's AI features; depending on the feature used, these providers may include Google (Gemini), Anthropic (Claude), and OpenAI (GPT).
Note: TokiTail does not currently use your personal content to train TokiTail-owned AI models.
04Marketing & recommendations
We may use information about your pet and your use of TokiTail to provide relevant pet-care recommendations, features, programmes, products, or services. We may also send newsletters, product updates, or promotional offers where permitted by law. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time through Settings → Notifications or through the unsubscribe option in the communication.
05Sharing of information
We may share information where reasonably necessary to operate the Services, including with service providers (cloud hosting, infrastructure, analytics, customer support, payments, logistics, and other vendors that help us operate TokiTail); AI service providers (Google, Anthropic, and OpenAI may process relevant information when their models are used to provide TokiTail AI features, subject to the permission described in Section 03); veterinary professionals (when you choose to export or share reports, or when you explicitly request a service involving veterinary review); commercial partners (limited information necessary to attribute product recommendations or complete transactions, where applicable); and legal and safety purposes (where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, TokiTail, Lumo Technologies, or others). We do not sell your personal information.
06Pet sensor data
Smart Tag data may include activity, movement, sleep patterns, scratching or licking patterns, ambient temperature, and estimated respiratory-rate trends. These signals are used to provide monitoring, behavioural insights, and early-warning features. Smart Tag outputs are informational trend indicators, not veterinary diagnostic measurements; readings may be affected by movement, fit, placement, signal quality, and other real-world conditions.
07Your privacy rights
Depending on your region and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, withdraw certain permissions, opt out of marketing communications, and exercise other applicable privacy rights. You may exercise these rights through available in-app controls or by contacting [email protected].
08Data retention
We retain personal information while your account is active or as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security. You may request account deletion through Settings → Account → Delete Account; deletion requests are generally processed within 30 days, except where certain information must be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or transaction-record purposes.
09Data security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted transmission, access controls, and protected data storage. However, no online service or method of electronic storage can guarantee absolute security.
10Children's privacy
TokiTail is not intended for children under 13 years of age, or a higher minimum age where required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age; if we become aware that such information has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
11International transfers
TokiTail is operated by Lumo Technologies Pte. Ltd. in Singapore. Your information may be stored or processed in Singapore and in other countries where our service providers operate, including the United States. Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.
12Changes & contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; material changes will be announced in-app, by email, or through another appropriate notice.
